These Terms & Conditions apply to people visiting Cockett Farm Shooting Ground in person and also users of our website cockettfarm.com.  Where ordering via our online shop incorporated into this website, additional Terms & Conditions apply which can be viewed via the Terms & Conditions link on the checkout pages.

Visitors to Cockett Farm Shooting Ground


All visitors to the “Shooting Ground” must abide by these Terms & Conditions and any amendments that may be notified from time to time.

 

Cockett Farm has the right to refuse any individual entry to the site or use of its facilities. To maintain a safe shooting environment, Cockett Farm reserves the right to ask, at our sole discretion, anyone to leave the Ground where their behaviour is inappropriate or unsafe.


  • Everyone visiting the ground must report to the clubhouse on arrival.
  • All shooters and spectators must wear eye and ear protection, a hat is also strongly recommended.
  • All shooting is subject to availability and is on a first come first served basis.
  • Shooting or attempted shooting at live quarry is not permitted at any time.
  • Ammunition must be 28g load or less and shot size no larger than UK 6.5
  • Plastic & Fibre wad are permitted.
  • Steel shot is permitted.
  • All guns to be carried to and from shooting stands in an unloaded condition.
  • No shooting is allowed other than from a designated firing point.
  • Guns must only be loaded and/or “closed” when on the firing point and facing in the permitted arc of fire.
  • Semi Automatic users must carry the gun between stands with the breech clearly open and ideally with an ‘auto-safe’ flag fitted. Autos may only be loaded with a maximum of 2 cartridges at any time.
  • Please place empty cartridges and associated rubbish in the bins provided.
  • Dogs are welcome but please keep them on a lead at all times and also ensure you clean up after them!
  • No persons should alter or otherwise interfere with any Shooting Ground machinery or other equipment.
  • License holders are permitted to shoot without supervision. All non-license holders must be supervised by a certificate holder, this should be arranged and approved in advance by the Ground.
